Apple Pie Maiden Voyage

For Thanksgiving, I baked my first home-made apple pie! Well...actually it was the first pie I have EVER made. The recipe is from Epicurious.com (Cinnamon Crumble Apple Pie). I enjoyed the process and it turned out really well! Serve it with some vanilla bean ice-cream and you'll be in sugar coma heaven...

Festivities

This year all my college girlfriends are turning 30. In January, nine of us are celebrating this momentous year with a Caribbean cruise! Can't wait! In the mean time, we are celebrating each birthday as it comes. Last weekend we celebrated two of the girls birthday's (Karen & Jana) with a good -old -fashioned SLEEP OVER! We left the husbands behind in effort to embrace girl time, celebrating, laughing, and catching up. My BF Abbey was in town-so that made it extra special. Here are a few pictures from the evening:

Who Knew?

For whatever reason, I was digging for something in my medicine cabinet & the label on the back of a Vaseline jar caught my eye. The last bullet point on the list of its uses said it "reduces fine lines and wrinkles". WHAT?! So, I tested it out as an eye cream and it's AWESOME & not to mention CHEAP.

Check out Vaseline.com for more info! Basically wrinkles & fine lines are caused by lack of moisture. Vaseline petroleum jelly traps moisture...BINGO {cue angels singing}! Less fine lines and wrinkles!

Hope you all have a fab Halloween 2009! We enjoyed the evening at a party...decided to avoid handing out candy :) As you can see, Peter was Clark Kent and I was Heidi (the storybook character). It's always fun to dress up and see what others wear!
