Apple Pie Maiden Voyage

For Thanksgiving, I baked my first home-made apple pie! Well...actually it was the first pie I have EVER made. The recipe is from Epicurious.com (Cinnamon Crumble Apple Pie). I enjoyed the process and it turned out really well! Serve it with some vanilla bean ice-cream and you'll be in sugar coma heaven...

Giving Thanks

Last night Peter and I decided to put up our Christmas tree & bake pumpkin pie. Since we are going to be in Costa Rica over Thanksgiving week -- we decided that we would jump start the season. We decorated our tree and admired our new and bright white lights. Peter made an excellent pumpkin pie which is one of the many reasons I love him (he can cook!).

There is so much to be thankful for this year. Here are a few on my list this year:
